Sheryl is an American actress, comedian, TV host, and most famous for her hosting of The Talk, a popular chat show on daytime. The Talk. Sheryl Underwood was born in Arkansas, was raised between Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl is a member of a troubled family. Sheryl was raised by her sibling Frankie. Frankie had suffered with Polio. Growing up, she had an uneasy relationship with her mom. Sheryl states that in one instance her mother stabbed her father for getting too close to her. When she graduated from college Sheryl was a soldier in the military. Sheryl's passion for comedy was evident. She was selected as the first woman to be a finalist in the Miller Lite Comedy Search, held in 1989. She started her TV career as a frequent performer at the HBO Comedy Show Def Comedy Jam in 1992. She hosted the television show Oh Drama! in 2000. Then in 2011, she started participating on The Talk as co-host. She's been in many fictional shows including Bulworth Nikki, Beauty Shop and others.
