Paula Patton (born in 1960) is an American actor. She has also produced films, including Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol. She was born into a middle-class household living in Los Angeles, she harboured big dreams as a child. She was raised by a mother who loved to watch movies. Paula took part in numerous activities at school that were co-curricular, but she had particular passion for dramatics. She loved to play act with her classmates and took part in her school's stage productions. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School produced many plays and the actress decided that acting was her preferred career. She was part of the University of Southern California's Summer program and enjoyed the experience to death. She received a 3-month contract to create documentaries for PBS. She started her career as a TV production assistant following the completion of this task. After that, she started producing documentaries. She still had a dream to become an actress, although she was content at her position. The path to acting began when she had minor roles with Will Smith in the romantic comedy Hitch. In the years since, she's played in numerous popular films as well as TV series.
