Anna Silk was born in Fredericton as the child of Peter Silk, an academic and Ilkay Silk, a multi-talented actress director, producer, playwright, teacher, and director of drama in St. Thomas University. Anna Silk is the daughter of a Briton and a Turkish Cypriot English ex-pat. Anna appeared in several advertisements when she was a child. Anna moved to Toronto, Ontario, in order to pursue acting.
